Da Touma (大头马) (1989) has written for various publications, including Harvest, Novella Selections, Flower City, October, Fiction World and Shanghai Literature. Her published works include Murdering the Television, A Guide to Writing Unsellable Novels, Nine Stories, The King’s Game and The Potentialists. She has also written a travelogue, Travelling East and West. Murdering the Television was adapted into a stage play that premiered at the Beijing People’s Arts Theatre in 2016. She has won many awards, including the first prize in fiction at the 2nd Douban Writing Competition, first prize in the 4th Global Chinese Global Youth Script Competition, first in the Zhongshan Star Best Work of the Year Award, the 7th Zijinshan Newcomer Award, the 2nd Wang Meng Special Selection of the Year Award and the 8th Zijishan Novella Award.
