Deng Anqing (邓安庆) was born in 1984. After graduating from university, he spent several years living and working in Suzhou. His books include A Kingdom on Paper, Soft Distance, Candy in the Mountains, I Met a Somali Pirate, A Star on the Horizon, Forever Separated by a River and Leaving the Lamp On. His work has been translated into several languages, including English, Italian, Spanish and Danish.
