Hongling Zhang

Hongling Zhang is a bilingual writer and translator committed to bringing Chinese literature to English-language readers. Her published translations include Wang in Love and Bondage by Wang Xiaobo and The Bathing Women by Tie Ning, which was longlisted for the Man Asian Literary Prize. She also translated The Continuing Silence of a Poet by AB Yehoshua into Chinese and Open Secrets by Alice Munro, which was ranked No. 1 on Douban’s list of the ten best new editions of the year.

Her original essays and short stories have appeared in Dublin Review of Books, Tampa Review and Selected Stories of North American Chinese Writers. Zhang lives in St Louis, where she continues to write and translate literary fiction.
