Zong Pu

Zong Pu, formerly known as Feng Zhongpu (1928-), is the daughter of the famous Chinese philosopher Feng Youlan (1895-1990). She graduated from the Foreign Language Department of Tsinghua University and retired from the Institute of Foreign Literature at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Her work is not only deeply rooted in traditional Chinese culture but is also inspired by prolonged exposure to, and immersion in, foreign cultures. Imbued with the spiritual connotations of oriental tradition, philosophy and culture combined with western humanistic ideology, her work embodies a unique artistic temperament and an elegant style.
